Question by klubnikx3: art styles, need inspiration?
I like to draw but lately ive been getting really bored of it. The thing is i dont know what to draw and i want new styles or techniques that would interest me.
My art teacher told me to look up famous paintings and such to get inspiration but classical paintings really bore me. However i did find one style that really interested me and it is art nouveau. I especially like the artist Alphonse Mucha.
However, i would like to know if there are any other styles, or techniques that would interest me and inspire me. I really like designs such as tattoos, tribal designs, and celtic knots. I love art that has very intricate and detailed designs and has a sort of graphic look.

Go to a cathedral or mosque, something really ornate and overly decorated, and start drawing the architectural details and people you find there. this will likely spark some inspiration in the direction/style you speak of. But don’t be afraid to go off on some tangent when the muse leads you to.
